Biovek Braided Polyglycolide Absorbable Sutures

• Biovek® is a braided coated polyglycolide synthetic absorbable suture providing the surgeon with an easy-to-use material and a choice of dyed (violet) or undyed (beige) thread to suit the procedure.
• Biovek® is coated with calcium stearate and polycaprolactone for a uniform absorption profile.
• Compared to other synthetic absorbable sutures, Biovek® ® is woven into a finer braid resulting in smooth tissue passage, superior knot run down and excellent knotting capabilities.
• Biovek® provides optimum wound support during the healing process retaining.
  • 70% of tensile strength during the critical 14-day period and,
  • 10% tensile strength at 28 days.
• Biovek® is available with Reverse Premium Cutting, Reverse Cutting, Round Bodied Taper, Round Bodied Acute Taper and Fineline Cutting needles.
• Biovek® is available with microneedles (from 6mm to 10mm) for finer Dental surgeries involving connective tissue and flap work
